Jonathan Wyatt

Jonathan is without doubt one of the most recognized names in the world of Mountain running.

A 6-time winner of the World Mountain Running Championship, he is undoubtedly one of the top finishers in any mountain races he enters.

In addition to his Mountain championships, Jonathan has also made 2 appearances for New Zealand at the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games in the 5000m.

Alongside his accomplishment on the trials and the roads, he is an strong supporter of the sport and an advocate for rising starts in the field.

Jonathan's future plans include continue participating in the World Mountain Running Grand Prix and Championships in years to come.

Nadeem Khan (NK): What were your thoughts on running in the Commonwealth Championships?

Jonathan Wyatt (JW): A great initiative and I hope the start of something that will see the events in Commonwealth Games soon.


NK: How was this race different from your other international races?

JW: 2 events for each grade.  Running for the country rather than club or sponsors

JW: the region of Keswick, friendly and scenic
